Privacy policy

Last updated: this page describes what Lau de Flores collects, why, and how you can control it. We collect only what is needed to run the business and never sell your information.

What we collect

Account: if you sign in, we store your email address and session information. Sign-in uses a one-time emailed link — we never see or store a password.

Orders:name, shipping address, phone (optional), email, and what you ordered, including any custom bouquet composition and gift note. Used to fulfill your order and, for signed-in customers, to recognize recurring gifting patterns and suggest reorders ("Subscription Intelligence" on your account page). This never triggers a charge automatically.

Saved bouquet designs: if you save a custom bouquet, we store its name and composition against your account so you can reopen or share it later. Anyone with the share link can view that design.

Gift invitations: if you send flowers via an invitation link, we store the sender and recipient contact details you provide long enough to fulfill the invitation.

Device storage: your cart, wishlist, and language/currency preferences are stored in your browser (localStorage), not on our servers, and stay on your device until you clear it or sign in.

Who we share it with

Payment processing is handled by Stripe; we do not store your card details. Transactional email (order confirmations, sign-in links, contact replies) is sent via Resend. If you subscribe to updates, your email is added to our list via Klaviyo. Each of these providers only receives what they need to perform their function, and each has its own privacy policy governing that data.

How long we keep it

Order and account records are kept for as long as your account is active, or as required for tax and accounting purposes. You can request deletion at any time — see below.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and associated order history by emailing us. We will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK, this includes rights under the GDPR; if you are a California resident, this includes rights under the CCPA.

Cookies and local storage

We use only functional storage — your cart, wishlist, sign-in session, and display preferences (language, currency). We do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.

Children

Our services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
